What sets Maggie Wood Design & Consulting apart from other green design and consulting firms?
Maggie Wood Design & Consulting is a leader in the field of green home design because we have a combination of academic and project backgrounds in architecture, interior design, sustainable building, environmental health, and environmental research. Not only will we be able to help you choose a non-toxic paint for your nursery, but we will also be able to explain in layman’s terms why such a thing is critical to the health of a developing child. We have a state of the art research library and access to the latest peer-review research on products and materials. Our (patented) system of evaluating so-called “green” products before we add them to our library is part of our commitment to an outstanding final product for you. Our team will work with you from day one to create a healthy and efficient home for your family.
Who is on your "team" of experts?
Principle Maggie Wood and Research Director Sarah Harding oversee the specifications on every consulting project. We bring in experts in the areas of water and air quality, environmental toxicology, renewable energy and other fields when applicable for a particular project. We have developed relationships with experts who provide us with insight into particular products, materials or systems we're considering on a project. Clients do not typically pay for this expert scientific consultation, as it is included as part of our services and is educational for us at the same time.
Would you be able to come speak to my group about green design and green living?
Yes, Maggie is available for speaking and lecturing engagements throughout the year. Please contact us for more information.
